LAKE MUSKOKA - Sunny three-bedroom family cottage located on Acton Island (which has a bridge to the mainland five kilometers north of Bala) so you can drive to the back door . Acton Island is the largest island on Lake Muskoka, extending some 6 kilometers in length and up to 2 kilometers in width. There is no beach but the water deepens gradually so it is suitable for children. Pets are welcome!
The cottage is situated on 235 ft of typical Lake Muskoka frontage, facing south so that sun is available all day long. There is accommodation for up to six - a queen size in the master bedroom, twin beds in a second bedroom and a double bed in the third bedroom. There is a full bathroom with sink, toilet and shower plus a two piece ensuite off the master.
The cottage is available June 18 to July 30; the rent is $1950/week with a two week minimum or a monthly rate of $7500.

The living room has a lovely stone fireplace with a sliding door walkout to a raised deck. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a dishwasher and a clothes washer. In addition to a modern fridge and stove there is a microwave and, of course, there is a gas barbeque on the deck. A screen porch is attached to the kitchen, facing the lake.
The cottage is fully equipped in all respects - all you need to bring are your own bedding (sheets and pillow cases) and towels. There are two docks - one for sitting by the water and the other for boating and swimming. The main dock will accommodate a boat of up to 22 feet. A canoe is available for your use. If you are a tennis player, you are welcome to use the owner's private artificial grass court located next door.
