Stan Allanson has been handcrafting antique wooden boats for over 25 years. During this time he has apprenticed at Clarion Boats and perfected his skills and expanding his knowledge at Woodwind Yachts. For the past 2 years Stan has been working independently in his barn next to his farmhouse in the outskirts of Peterborough along side his golden retriever. I was particularly impressed with the wood work that Stan did on my gentleman's racer wooden boat below.

Stan can be contacted at tel; 705-696-1481

With a diverse array of excellent quality craftsmanship from 38' sloop to antique wooden cars and/or parts to 7' dinghys, Stan's goal is to keep as many of these old treasures alive and well. Here is a few sample pictures of the 100 or so boats stan has worked on and he would be happy to show you his many many pictures.

The pictures above denote my boat on the right, the sailing dingy stan did some frame work as well as mast work, the bottom left picture is of a cedar strip Lakefield and the boat in the background is a Seabird. The boat on the left is a seabird which stan revarnished, did some motor work and replace a couple of bottom planks.

1947 Chrysler New Yorker Town + Country All Woody. Stan redid all of the wood work on this very desirable and collectable car in a very professional manner. This car is not completed yet but a similar one just sold for approx. $175,000 US at the Barrett Jackson auction in California.
